Applications
- Liquid Chromatography-High Resolution Mass Spectrometry (LC-HRMS) is a powerful analytical technique used for separation, identification and quantification of both unknown and known compounds as well as to elucidate the structure of different molecules.
- In determination of molecular weights: LC-HRMS is used for determination of molecular weights of known and unknown compounds. It provides information about molecular weight, structure, elemental composition and concentration of unknown sample in reaction mixture.
- In Pharmaceutical Industries: It is used to determine the assay of drugs, intermediates, and related compounds.
- In Pharmacokinetics: LC-MS is used to study of absorption, metabolism, and excretion of drugs. Bioanalytical methods are used for quantitative and structural elucidation of drugs and their metabolites in biological samples viz. plasma, urine, saliva and serum.
- In Agrochemical and pesticides industry: It is used to determine different components present in fertilizers and pesticides.
